OMG That Song Book Tag

Hey guys! So I’m in the middle of drafting some reviews so they can go up asap, but I thought in the meantime I’d do another one of my favourite bookish tags! This one is pretty simple, there are a list of questions/statements, and you have to give a song and a book that works as your answer, so lets get started!

My Jam: A song you have to listen to no matter how many times you’ve heard it and a book you’ll never get sick of…

SONG: For my song I have to go for Helena or Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance

BOOK: And my book is of course Harry Potter, more specifically the Goblet of Fire but I’ll never get tired of any of them

Throwback: A song that reminds you of the cringeiest time in your life and a book that you wouldn’t like of you read it now…

SONG: Probably something like Trap Queen because I had this phase in high school where I’d act like such a badman and it was awful

BOOK: This one is actually pretty hard but I’ll have to say the second two books in the Divergent series because I’ve developed a hatred for characters like Tris

Replay: A recent song that you have had on repeat and a recent favourite book

SONG: I don’t even speak Spanish lol by XXXTENTACION or anything from Panic! At The Disco’s latest album

BOOK: A book series I have read fairly recently and I can safely say is a favourite is The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer triology

Gets me: A song that is literally me and a book that is me in book form

SONG: On Melancholy Hill by The Gorillaz, I feel like if one song was constantly playing in the back of my head, this would be it

BOOK: I think I have to say Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, because the whole book appreciates nerds

WUT: A weird song you like and a unique book that stuck with you for some reason…

SONG: I’m in no way saying rock music is weird but if I played this to someone and said ‘this is what I like’ they’d probably find it odd, so I’m going to say King for a Day by Pierce the Veil or maybe Ddaeng by the rapline of BTS

BOOK: The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is probably the most uniquely beautiful book I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading

Lets Go: Pick your best pump up song and a book that inspires you…

SONG: Champion by Fall Out Boy, there’s just something so motivating about hearing Patrick Stump tell you that if you can live through this, you can do anything (listen to it, you’ll get me)

BOOK: Any of the Percy Jackson books, the characters are so realistic and also so badass, it makes you think you can do the same

Chill: Your best chill or relaxing song and a book you’d curl up with on a rainy day…

SONG: I have a few for this so stay with me: Impossible Year by Panic!, Nothing Really Matters by Mr. Probz and Afire Love by Ed Sheeran

BOOK: I looove high fantasy on rainy days, but I think my to rainy day book would have to be something by Leigh Bardugo

Addicting: A guilty pleasure song and a light, trashy read you can’t help but love…

SONG: All 90s R&B

BOOK: I don’t like this book so I don’t know why I always read it but it is light and fluffy so my choice is Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

Nostalgia: A throwback song you look back on fondly and a book you read and loved when you were young

SONG: None other than the iconic California Girls by Katy Perry

BOOK: Literally anything by Jaquline Wilson, I used to read her books religiously and I’m pretty sure I’d still like them if I read them again now
