The Supernatural Book Tag

Hello everyone, and happy October!!! So throughout October, I’m going to be trying as hard as I can to somewhat participate in Blogoween and do some spoopy, autumnal themed posts. So, as you may or may not know (probably not, because I’ve never talked about TV series I love) I love the series Supernatural more than I love most people, and I didn’t know if this even existed, but a quick google search told me it did, and about five seconds later I am sat here typing up the post a month in advance… so without further ado, let’s get into the Supernatural book tag!

If you could own a fictional item, what would you choose?

If I could choose any fictional item it would probably be Harry/James Potter’s cloak of invisibility, the possibilities would be endless; getting into concerts, reading without being interrupted, looking at what questions teachers are putting on exams, listening in on what people say about me (kidding, I’m irrelevant)

If you could own a fictional vehicle, what would you choose?

So I was going to say a broomstick from Harry Potter, but I’m trying to refrain from using too many Harry Potter answers, so, I’m not sure if this counts because it’s technically not a vehicle, but I’d love to have a Wyvern from the Throne of Glass series (if you don’t know, this is a dragon-type creature) but it’d have to be exactly like Abraxos.

A villain you love to hate

Okay, so you know when i just said like four seconds ago that there was no more Harry Potter answers? Yeah, I lied. For this answer, I am going for the one, the only, the biggest most disgusting toad in the universe… UMBRIDGE, no further explanation needed.

Two characters from different books that’d make a perfect team to fight evil

For this answer, I am going for Scarlett from Caraval and Hermione from Harry Potter (another Harry Potter answer lol I’m the worst) because I think they are both smart and logical but also badass and I wouldn’t want to make them angry

Two characters from different books that’d make a perfect couple

Okay this is going to sound like the most random answer in the entire universe but bear with me: Cath from Fangirl and Nikolai from Shadow and Bone because relationships with one person who is loud and outgoing and another who is the complete opposite and is quiet and shy are the CUTEST THING.

Your favourite fictional mentor-figure

Hagrid, 10000000%, he was the only character in the entire series (except Sirius and McGonagall) that genuinely only cared about Harry for his own person, and wanted him to be safe and have a good life and he is the most under-appreciated character ever and it makes me so mad

One of the best books you’ve ever read

Okay, no Harry Potter for this one, to obvious. I’m picking The Night Circus because I adored everything about this book and it’s perfect and beautiful and wonderful and I love it

One of the worst books you’ve ever read

*pulls out 25-foot long list and tries to pick less than 85 books* Okay so I can’t just pick one, what’s the fun in that? So I’ going to list a few:

• Empire of Storms
• The last maybe 2 or 3 books in The Mortal Instruments series
• Literally every single ‘youtuber’ book (except Dan and Phil’s)

A book with a much better cover in a different country

For this one I’m picking Strange the Dreamer, I like the US cover far better, and whilst I felt the first UK edition was okay, the new one is d i s g u s t i n g

In order, these are: new UK, original UK and the the US

A character you would love to hunt

Okay so I just guessed this meant a character you’d hunt because you dislike them considering the show is about hunting demons, and I picked my dearest Rowan Whitethorn because I’d love to remove him from existence.

A book that you guessed the plot twist or ending to

Literally most books tbh, I’m really good at guessing plot twists and endings sooo yeah, sorry

A book that looks much better without it’s dust jacket

Okay, so fun fact: If a book has a cute design under the dust jacket, I’ll probably like the book more. For this question I’m picking Legendary by Stephanie Garber, I much prefer the US covers to this book, but I do really like that a certain number of the UK editions have hidden covers underneath, even more so because I really didn’t like the cover for Legendary

Put your playlist on shuffle, what book does the song that plays remind you of?

Okay, so I got goodnight n go by Ariana Grande, and for whatever reason, this song really reminds me of Lara and Peter from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, so there you go

Your ultimate fangirl moment so far

Uhmmm I honestly don’t know, when the question says ‘so far’ I’m going to take that as since I’ve started my blog, and I literally don’t care if this sounds sad, but I did a review for one of my favourite books; Three Dark Crowns (which you can read here if you’d like) and Kendare Blake thanked me for writing a review, and it was a good moment
