Hey Guys! I don’t really want to waste my precious time writing long reviews for books that don’t deserve it, so I thought I’d just kind of lump together a bunch of books I didn’t like and shove the all in one post, enjoy! ❤
- Like almost everyone my age, I went through the British YouTuber phase (I hate myself lets not talk about it) and when out dearest Zoella ‘wrote’ her ‘own’ ‘book’, I bought it.
- The funny thing is, after Zoe admitted to having a ghostwriter, she prided herself on the fact the storyline was all her idea, and the storyline, was absolute garbage, and probably the worst thing about this book, so great job
- I feel like nobody mentions this, but the MC in this book has anxiety, she meets some cute boy who takes her somewhere in his car, she has anxiety with car and only realises this later??? What??? Cute boys do not fix anxiety??
- I despise this woman for taking advantage of her young, impressionable audience constantly and never acknowledging it
- I also hate this book, the main character (idk her name) is clearly just an even limper and more forgettable version of Zoe and overall, is just a very sad and boring and whiny little bitch
- One more thing, after people (rightfully) complained after it came out that this book was ghostwritten, Zoe had the audacity to make people feel guilty for making her anxiety bad. Boo hoo, if you didn’t want this to happen, then you shouldn’t have lied.
- This book is crap and I hate it, okay? Okay.
- This book was so rubbish, it was so boring, it was just our MC complaining and then smoking with some random bitch.
- Also, I really don’t agree with discriminating against a straight person who doesn’t want to be with a trans person, these things are a matter of taste in my opinion, please feel free to (politely) correct me if I’m wrong. The second the main character got a bit weird after finding out the MC was trans, he was suddenly made to look like an awful person who wanted to ruin the MCs life, which I don’t think is very fair considering he had literally just found out this person was trans, and he came around in the end, he just needed to get used to the thought and there is nothing wrong with that
- Also, I heard there was a thing where the author of this book was accused of raping and abusing her wife, if this is true, she is scum, if not, her book is still rubbish, that controversy has nothing to do with my opinion on her novel, I just wanted to mention this in case it would impact your decision on buying her book and, by doing this, supporting her.
- Madeline treated her mother like crap and was a complete brat and made some very bitch-ass moves
- The ‘twist’ made reading this book a complete waste of my time, which is great
- The message that this book gives is crap :
maybe growing up means disappointing the people we love
- This whole book was a teenage girl willing to die to be with a boy she’d emailed for a couple of days
Thank you so much for reading my post! Do you agree with my opinions or did you actually enjoy these books? Let me know in the comments, I’d love to hear your opinions<3 As always, please remember these are JUST MY OPINIONS, and I generally talk in a very sarcastic and probably dramatic way, so please take no offence to anything said in this post, it is truly my last intention to upset anyone with these posts. Thank you again for reading and I will talk to you in my next post!
Oh you really dont like these books, i havent ever read either of these

Of these books, I’ve only read Everything Everything, but unlike you, I actually really enjoyed that one. While it wasn’t perfect, I still found it fun and enjoyable. That being said, everyone has their own opinions, and even though I disagree, I still really enjoyed reading yours! 🙂

I’m glad you enjoyed it more than I did, I didn’t hate everything about it tbh but I think once I’ve found an issue with a book I end up forgetting about a lot of the things I liked about it, thankyou for reading ❤️

I’m honestly cackling at this, your angry writing is hilarious! I read Girl Online despite being about 15 years too old for it, and it was as awful as I expected. Everything Everything shocked me, I really thought it was going to be good due to how much everyone hyped it up but it just annoyed me to be honest! It felt weirdly predictable and the story was dull.

Lol thank you so much, when I’m angry I can’t even keep track of what I’m writing and it’s usually a mess but I’m v glad you enjoyed it 😂💕 o think I was about the age to read Girl Online when I did and I could still see how immature and clumsy the entire book was. When I just finished Everything Everything I thought it was great, it was only until I actually thought about it that I realised how rubbish it was and I totally agree with you on it being predictable and dull. Thank you so much for reading ❤️

I honestly love the writing of your reviews!! It’s not too serious & I love that. Finding honest reviews that aren’t boring is quite hard sometimes. I’m SO glad I didn’t read Girl Online because I would’ve been livid about the misrepresentation of anxiety. I haven’t read any of these, but I did see the Everything, Everything movie. It was painful and I don’t think I’ll watch it again

Aww thank you so much!! Ugh I was so mad about the anxiety rep especially considering I was at the time where mine was really developing it was an awful way to show anxiety to impressionable kids. Omg I hated the trailer for that film I’d hate to imagine my reaction to watching the whole film😂🤦🏻♀️ thank you so much for reading xxx

I wantwd to read Everything Everything when I saw the trailer for the book but decided not to when I looked at the book at Wal-Mart. If I remember correctly the book had a lot of pictures in it and was short. Seemed like a waste of money.

It really was short and when you take out all the pages with random drawings and diagrams I think it only just about reaches 100 pages

See I rather spend the same amount of money I would have on that book for a bigger book with more content.

Aww thank you so much! Honestly I quite like being harsh for books I didn’t like I feel like if I wasted money on a book I felt was rubbish then I should at least get the satisfaction of giving it a low rating and a review to go with it, thank you sm for reading xx

This is honestly the best thing I’ve read all day. I absolutely love and admire how bluntly honest you are in these reviews; like absolutely no crap was given. DAY. MADE. (also I completely agree with you on Girl Online; jumping in front of a bus final destination style sounds completely better than reading Girl online again)

Aww thank you sosososo much, this is honestly so lovely to hear 😊😊 and yes living in a final destination movie for a day>>>> reading that garbage ever again

Loved this article! I thoroughly enjoy reading rant-y posts but they are so rare. Well… I’m tempted almost every day to delete mine or change them…
Anyway, I have the second book on my TBR list but I think I’ll look for something better then 😉
Please keep reading awful books!

Aww thank you so much, ranty posts are never rare on this blog 😂 definitely look for something better there are so many more wonderfully written books out there I’m thinking of maybe doing a “if you didn’t like this then read this” type post soon so maybe that’ll help. I will continue suffering through awful books so I can give everyone brilliant rants 😂😂 thank you so much for reading XX

Such a good idea, lumping all the books together in one post! I’ll have to steal your concept, if you don’t mind. It sucks to waste a complete review on a bad book unless you really just need to rant. I haven’t read ANY of yours, but I’ll steer clear. They sound horrible!

Aww thank you so much!! Yes please go ahead and do this for some of your reviews, I’d love to read them; sometimes if I have a lot to say about a book I didn’t like I’ll give it a full review, but these books didn’t even deserve that tbh. Please do steer clear, I’m glad I could save you! Thanks for reading xx

Blimey these are some mean reviews! 😂 I haven’t actually read any of these, I’m just not interested in Zoella enough to want to read her book tbh. The only book I can think of that I hands down hate is Eleanor Oliphant. It makes me seeth xxx

I’ve not read any of these and I don’t think I will now haha! I love that you were honest though, and I agree that Zoella shouldn’t have lied about having a ghostwriter, to this day I still don’t think she’s taken any responsibility for it. Her books definitely aren’t something I’d usually look for anyway. I’ve not read Everything Everything but I was thinking about watching the film, I wonder if that’s any better x

Please don’t, save yourself while you still can!! Honestly Zoella is horrible and will never learn from her mistakes, she will constantly take advantage of her fans and their parents and will never admit to it and I think that is so wrong. Sorry to tell you but the film looks about 823782827282X worse, the trailer alone made me cringe out of my own body I’m not even kidding 😬😬 x

I’ve not read any of these books and I don’t think I’d ever pick up Girl Online in particular. I like that you’ve been honest with the post and done it about books you didn’t like! That’s just as useful I think as doing one for books you did like 🙂

I don’t even understand why people are still buying Girl Online, I see it in bookstores all the time 😀
Also I watched Everything Everything (having not read the book) thinking it’s gonna be a nice fluffy YA movie but boy oh boy was I surprised to find that horrible twist. And overall the message was odd and bad.

Ugh neither do I !! It drives me mad that real authors aren’t getting recognised and Zoe does🙄🙄 ugh I know Everything Everything was awful and I felt like the whole thing was just pointless. Thanks so much for reading ❤️

I haven’t read all of these books yet. I don’t judge books by negative reviews. I want to judge them for myself so… we’ll see. But I’m not into the books’ genres so I won’t be reading them anytime soon.
